At Interface Contracts, we have seen huge success stories within our team and are always striving to develop our employees and push them in their individual careers. One of our design team, Adam Gray talks about his journey so far at Interface and the awards and recognition he has been awarded for his achievement.
I started my career as an apprentice electrician studying part time at Oldham College. After lengthy discussions with my college tutor about my personal career goals and potential progression opportunities, I decided to pursue a career in design. Following our discussion, I began to search for opportunities in Building Services Design which led me to Interface Contracts Ltd.
Since joining Interface in February 2018, I have completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation. After completing my apprenticeship, I was nominated for and presented with an award for outstanding achievement at Oldham College’s annual awards evening.
Whilst settling into my new role at interface as a Building Services Designer, I started to research potential options for higher education. After discussing options with my college tutor, my manager Matthew Taylor, and one of the directors, David Taylor, we decided a Level 4 HNC in Building Services Engineering would be the most suitable route to take.
I am now in the final few months of my HNC where I am on track to achieve a Distinction grade. Interface have facilitated my personal and professional development with a variety of academic, professional and occupational courses. Such courses include; AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, Relux. Collectively, working with the design team and studying a BSE HNC has given me the knowledge and experience to confidently produce design documents for multi-million-pound projects.
