Location(s): Greater Manchester

Purpose of the job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for thedelivery of multi-disciplined projects within the Utilities, Energy, Energyfrom Waste, Petrochem, Chemical, Oil and Gas sectors. This includes ensuringall projects under their remit are executed in accordance with agreed projectmargins, programme and the quality that meets internal and clientspecifications and statutory requirements.
Principal Accountabilities

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreedstandards
Identifying changes to scope, programme and method of delivery andpresenting these to clients for reimbursements as variations under the contract
Ensure the Anticipated Final Cost (AFC) of each project undermanagement is robust and managedeffectively including reimbursements for variations to the contract
Ben an advocate for and promote Behavioural Safety on site andwith the Site Management team and subcontractors
Ensure programme is in place and adhered to in accordance with thecontract ( specifically NEC3 and Icheme contract forms)
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors, specialistdesigners, manufacturers, etc. with respect to the specification, validationand value Engineering of equipment and services to be supplied to the project
Conduct regular reviews of drawings / document control on site,ensuring the correct versions are being used
Ensure risks are identified and mitigation measures are put inplace
Preparation of all cost analysis data and project review monthlyreports and report progress risk and opportunity accordingly
To directly manage sub-contractors to ensure all elements of theproject are delivered on time and against the designs given
The above outlines the key accountabilities of the position,however this cannot be comprehensive and other duties, as directed by thecompany and within the job holder’s capabilities may be required
The role will be based on a project in a defined geographical areahowever flexibility in this respect within the region will be expected

Has advanced written and numeric skills appropriate to the job.
Skills and Qualifications:

HNC/D qualified preferable
Min 10 years’ experience
Proven experience as an electrical Project Manager working on a range of projects
Exceptional skills in managing a heavy workload and conflicting demands, whilst consistently producing high-quality work to tight deadlines
Proactive with a strong ability to work independently and without supervision
Experience of liaising with colleagues from operational to senior director level
First class communication skills, personal confidence and the ability to influence others
Intermediate to advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience of consultant and/or contractor led services
Meticulous written and verbal communication skills
