Carlisle WWTW

Interface are now underway with the total recabling of Carlisle WWTW on behalf of Volker Stevin. The whole site was severely affected by the 2016 floods and necessitated the need to replace the site wide cabling and building services.

Oxford WWTW

AECOM have placed an order with Interface to replace cabling at the Thames Water site. The installation was completely submerged during a flooding incident and required a large section of the plant cabling to be replaced.

Davyhulme WWTW

Laing O’Rourke have awarded Interface the new Inlet works at Davyhulme WWTW. This extends our presence on this site now to 5 years.

BWV have awarded Interface three new Biomass plants that are being built at different parts of the country. The scope is to supply and install HV,LV,control and instrumentation cabling throughout the plant. All three plants are designed in 3D and are due to go live during 2017.

A very professional outfit. Always get on with the job and there are no problems. They know what they are doing.

Black & Veatch

Interface Contracts are a valuable member of our supply chain providing LV cabling services on various Water and Waste Water projects.

The most notable project to date was a sewage treatment facility upgrade at Davyhulme in Manchester, where ICL were awarded the LV cabling and services packages with a value of circa £4M.

The packages included the design, supply, and installation of all LV EICA cabling throughout the works. These works were successfully carried out in line with project requirements while the plant remained operational. We are extremely pleased with ICL’s performance across all of our projects.

They possess a wealth of experience in their work force who display high standards of workmanship, reliability and professionalism. I would recommend them to any interested parties for future design & build construction projects.

Muirdykes WTW – Scottish Water

We are providing a full design and installation service on behalf of Black & Veatch ( main contractor ) for a new water filtration / treatment facility at Muirdykes north of Glasgow. Value of our installation package is circa £850k. The installation is well underway and scheduled to come on line summer 2017.

The joint venture AMK have awarded Interface Contracts the main LV cabling package for Deephams WWTW. With a value to Interface of £ 2.2M, the scope of work involves the detailed design, supervision and installation of building services and main cabling associated with ASP lanes, FST’s, PST’s, storm pumping stations and CHP plant. The work is scheduled for completion late summer 2017. Our total scope of work included 11000volt cabling to several transformers, the secondary cabling from the transformers to LV switchboards and the associated earthing. Additionally we designed and installed containment throughout the project to accommodate the power, control, instrumentation and profibus cabling.

Port of Tyne

A materials handling plant comprising of 1Km of conveyors transporting biomass ( wood chip fuel pallets ) to Lynemouth power station. Our early engagement by Spencer Group involved developing a 3D model that identified the cable containment routes and building services supports. Due to the complexity of the conveyor systems and the restricted area / space to work within, the development of the model helped tremendously to determine the most suitable routes that would allow access to install , but also to maintain at a later stage.

Interface’s design team worked closely with Spencers team to ensure all disciplines could be accommodated on the structure. To assist in this, we developed jointly, a system whereby large sections of the work could be prepared in modular form at ground level before lifting in to place. Our scope of work consists of power, control and instrumentation cabling. Status signal cabling and a full building services design and installation throughout the conveyors and the associated administration and ancilliary buildings are also part of our scope. The plant is scheduled to come on line in late summer 2017.

Edina Engines

Interface Contracts have been involved with Edina for several years now, providing a turnkey electrical design and installation package for their gas engine powered generators. The projects provide a huge range of diversity in scope and can vary from £ 3k to £ 500k. The schemes involve our usual combination of 11000volt cabling through to telemetry and the full building services comprising of lighting, small power, lightning protection, fire alarms and intruder alarms.
